No. 11 Men’s Volleyball Returns to Dillon to Host SHU, Harvard

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 11 Princeton University men's volleyball team returns to Dillon Gymnasium Friday and Saturday for a pair of Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) matches, first taking on Sacred Heart University followed by Harvard University.
Tiger Notes
The Tigers remained at No. 11 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) national top-15 for the third-consecutive week. In its most recent match, Princeton earned a 3-1 (25-21, 28-26, 23-25, 25-23) victory over No. 15 George Mason University on Saturday, February 22 in Fairfax, Virginia.
The Tigers are led in kills and service aces by senior George Huhmann with 147 and 24. Huhmann's 147 kills rank fourth in the EIVA while his 0.52 service aces per set rank second. Junior Joe Kelly leads the Tigers in assists with 425 and digs with 73 while senior Greg Luck has a team-high 51 blocks.

In Princeton's most recent matchups with SHU and Harvard, the Tigers came out on top. Princeton defeated the Pioneers 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-21) on Saturday, April 6, 2019, and overcame the Crimson 3-2 (29-27, 17-25, 25-20, 17-25, 15-13) on Friday, April 5, 2019, with both matches taking place inside Dillon Gymnasium.

The Pioneers are 4-6 overall and 0-5 in EIVA play. In its most recent match, Sacred Heart fell 3-0 (25-18, 25-13 and 25-23) to Saint Francis University on Saturday, February 22 in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Campbell Schoenfeld leads the Crimson in kills with 173 while Matthew Ctvrtlik has a team-high 482 assists along with a team-high 17 service aces. Chase Howard leads Harvard in digs with 117 and Ethan McCrary has a team-high 32 blocks.
