Men's Hockey Concludes Regular Season With Loss To Brown

PRINCETON – The 2019-20 regular season for the Princeton University men's ice hockey team concluded with a 2-0 loss to Brown at Hobey Baker Rink.
Princeton outshot the Bears, 32-21, but Brown goalie Gavin Nieto turned aside all offerings – including 17 Princeton shots in the third period.
An even first period broke Brown's way via a James Crossman goal with 2:04 remaining in the opening period. He picked off a Princeton shot from the point and went in all alone on Forget, slipping a backhand five-hole for the lead.
The Bears doubled their lead on the powerplay midway through the second period. With Liam Gorman off for tripping, Zach Giuttari wristed home his fourth goal of the season with assists by Bradley Cocca and Michael Maloney.
The Tigers were 0-for-6 on the powerplay, while Brown was 1-for-3 on the man advantage.
Princeton now focuses on the postseason which is set to begin March 6 in Hanover, N.H. against Dartmouth.
