Men's Hockey Welcomes Six Skaters In Class Of 2024
July 01, 2020 | Men's Ice Hockey
PRINCETON -- Six skaters are set to join the Princeton Men's Hockey program as members of the Class of 2024 as announced today by head coach Ron Fogarty.
Three forwards and three defensemen have been added to the team, including five from the United States and one from Canada. The new Tigers hail from Massachusets, New Jersey, Texas, California and British Columbia.
One new Tiger joins the team from the U.S. National Team Development Program and the U-18 National Team based out of Plymouth, Mich., while two others recently were teammates with the Tri-City Storm of the USHL and two more were teammates on the Nanaimo Clippers (BCHL) while playing against the final member of the Class of 2024 who skated with the Coquitlam Express.
"We're excited to bring these young men into the Princeton Hockey program," said Fogarty. "They are dynamic players with skill sets that fit right in with the style of hockey we like to play. These guys have bought in to the opportunities that Princeton provides them in terms of achieving next-level success in hockey and securing an elite education. Myself, the coaching staff, and their teammates can't wait to have them on campus and part of our group inside historic Hobey Baker Rink."
These six newcomers will join a Princeton team which includes eight members remaining from the Tigers' 2018 ECAC Championship and NCAA Tournament berth as well as 22 players who were part of last season's thrilling ECAC First Round sweep of Dartmouth in Hanover.
