Women's Tennis Opens Play at Texas A&M Fall Invitational

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Princeton Tigers took to the court Friday, on the campus of Texas A&M, in their last tournament of the fall season. During the first day of competition, the Tigers earned two doubles victories and won four singles matches.
The duo of Grace Joyce and Maia Sung defeated Jeanette Mireles and Mary Stoiana of Texas A&M 6-4, while Skyler Grishuk and Nathalie Rodilosso beat another Texas A&M pair, Isa Di Laura and Ellie Pittman, by a score of 6-4.
In singles, Princeton's Brianna Shvets, the 102nd ranked tennis player in the nation, defeated LSU's Ena Babic 6-2, 6-2. Michelle Sorokko earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Nina Geissler, another LSU opponent. Nathalie Rodilosso followed up her doubles victory with a singles victory of her own, besting Arkansas' Laura Riikers 6-4, 6-0. Finally, Skyler Grishuk took down a third LSU challenger, in a 6-3, 6-1 win.
