Princeton enters the penultimate week of the season receiving votes in the most recent United Soccer Coaches poll with a 10-5-0 overall record and a 5-0-0 mark in Ivy play. The Tigers sit atop the Ivy table with their 15 points, four points clear of second-place Yale which has 11. With the points situation being what it is, certain goals for the Tigers are within range this weekend.
- If Princeton wins, the Tigers will secure an outright Ivy League championship and the Ivy League's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
- If Yale loses, the Tigers will secure at least a share of an Ivy League championship and the Ivy League's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament no matter Princeton's result.
- If Princeton ties at Penn and Yale loses or ties against Brown, the Tigers will secure an outright Ivy League championship and the Ivy League's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Tigers have a wealth of experience in such games on their current roster as 12 players set to be in uniform on Saturday were part of Princeton's 2018 team which won an Ivy title and played in the NCAA Tournament.
Princeton has won six games in a row, the fourth-longest active winning streak in Division I men's soccer. The last time the Tigers won six consecutive games came over part of the 2-14-15 seasons when the Tigers won the final five games of 2014 and the opener in 2015.
Kevin O'Toole enters the weekend with 23 points (7g, 9a) this season. His nine helpers are No. 7 among all Division I players, and his 23 points are No. 25 in the country. Princeton's .992 GAA as a team leads the Ivy League and Jack Roberts ranks No. 1 among Ivy keepers with his personal .950 GAA. Roberts has seven career shutouts to his credit, including four this season. His next clean sheet will move him into a tie for No. 10 all-time in a career by a Princeton keeper. Last week, Roberts earned Ivy League Player of the Week honors following an 11-save performance in a 2-1 win over then-No. 20 Cornell.
Forward Daniel Diaz-Bonilla scored the game-winning goal in each victory for the Tigers last week to earn a spot on TopDrawerSoccer.com's National Team Of The Week. He enters the week with 12 points on four goals and four assists, surpassing his eight points on three goals and two assists from 2019.
As a team inside the Ivy League, Princeton is outscoring opponents, 15-5, through five matches. Kevin O'Toole leads the Ivy League in goals (6), assists (6) and points (18) during Ivy play.
