Princeton concluded a two-game trip to New York with a 4-1 loss at RPI.
Mike Ufberg had the goal for Princeton, his first of the season.
RPI struck first, connecting 9:16 into the game. Ottoville Leppanen took a Turs Linden cross-ice pass and carried into the top of the circle before firing inside the far post to give the Engineers a 1-0 lead.
RPI made it 2-0 with 5:01 left in the first period. Anthony Baxter snuck in from the point and found himself open for a Linden pass and quickly snapped it in during a delayed penalty call on the Tigers.
The deficit for the Tigers was 3-0 after two periods via a RPI goal with 1:08 remaining. Jack Bennett redirected a Baxter offering from the point, tipping the puck by Porter who had stopped all 14 shots he had previously faced in the period.
Jake Johnson made it 4-0 for RPI with a power-play goal 1:25 into the third period, looping a wrister from the point after a failed clear.
Mike Ufberg got Princeton on the board with 4:18 remaining in the game, wiring a snap shot from the point that found its way through traffic and to the top corner. Assists were from Matthew Thom and Alex Konovalov. The goal ended a scoreless drought of 194:14 for the Tigers.
