
Three Join Women’s Tennis Program for Class of 2025

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's tennis team will be welcoming three talented newcomers for its Class of 2025, as announced by Head Coach Laura Granville Tuesday.
The newest Tigers include Skyler Grishuk, Victoria Hu and Leena Bennetto. The trio were ranked No. 9 nationally in the tennisrecruiting.net "Top Women's Classes – 2021 Rankings."
"We are excited for Leena, Victoria and Skyler to become Tigers this fall," said Head Coach Laura Granville. "They have all had great success in both national and international tennis tournaments and will make an impact on our team immediately. Our team can't wait to welcome them and also compete for Princeton this year!"
Skyler Grishuk
Hometown: Aliso Viejo, California
High School: Laurel Springs (Homeschool)
Before Princeton: World junior best ranking of No. 64…competed in the Australian Open and the U.S. Open…received Honors awards…received government medals in Russia for highest achievement in sport.
Personal: Daughter of Oksana Grishuk, who won gold medals in ice dancing at the 1994 and 1998 Olympics…mother is also a Guinness World Record Holder…an advanced level 10 Pianist.

Victoria Hu
Hometown: Northborough, Massachusetts
High School: K12 Private Academy
Before Princeton: Eddie Herr 16's finals…Evert ITF winner…Atlanta ITF finals...USTA New England No. 1…Nationally ranked top-10, ITF Junior Ranking No. 175 175…WTA ranking No. 1100.
Personal: Daughter of Yun Zhu and Xiangjun Hu.

Leena Bennetto
Hometown: Vernon, British Columbia, Canada
High School: Vernon Secondary
Before Princeton: Member of the Tennis Canada National Team since 2014…represented Canada at the World Junior Tennis Championships…ranked No. 1 in British Columbia in U14, U16, and U18….ranked No. 5 in Canada for U16 and #9 for U18…career-high ranking of No. 211 in the ITF World Juniors…won two ITF Junior singles titles and five ITF Junior doubles titles…won six Provincial singles titles and two Provincial doubles titles…won four Canadian National Selection Series titles in both singles and doubles… Received the Sportsmanship Award at the Canadian Nationals three times.
Personal: Daughter of Murray and Dimple Bennetto…her father played tennis at Miami University (Ohio) and coached professionally in Hong Kong…has an older brother, Ryan, who also played competitive tennis.
