Men’s Tennis Opens Play at Alabama Four-In-The-Fall

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Princeton University men's tennis team had an impressive first day at the Alabama Four-In-The-Fall Tournament, winning seven out of its eight singles matches against student-athletes from Louisiana State University Friday.
Senior No. 101 Karl Poling earned a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Vlad Lobak, while senior Damian Rodriguez defeated Gabriel Diaz Freire 6-3, 6-1. Senior Bill duo outlasted Benjamin Ambrosio in a four-hour battle 7-6 (7-4), 6-7 (3-7), 6-2, and freshman Filippos Astreinidis overcame Dakotah Bobo 6-3, 6-3. Freshman Matthew Bosancic picked up a hard-fought 7-6 (7-3), 6-1 victory over Ben Koch, sophomore Ben Smith took down Nick Watson 6-2, 6-3, and freshman Aidan Mahoney earned a 6-2, 6-0 win over Will Cubitt.
In doubles, Poling and Rodriguez overcame Freire and Graca 6-4.
