Men's Water Polo Sweeps NWPC Player Of The Week Honors

After a three-match sweep of a West Coast swing, a trio of Princeton men's water polo players have earned Northeast Water Polo Conference Player of the Week honors.
Keller Maloney secured Offensive Player of the Week, while teammate Billy Motherway was recognized as Defensive Player of the Week and Roko Pozaric was picked as Rookie of the Week.
All three wins were over ranked opponents as the Tigers defeated No. 17 Loyola Marymount (11-10), No. 10 Pepperdine (14-9) and No. 13 UC Irvine (12-10) while in California.
Keller Maloney had an outstanding weekend producing 11 points in the Tigers' three-game sweep. He posted four tallies in an overtime comeback win over UC Irvine and added two goals, two assists and three steals at Pepperdine as well.
In goal, Billy Motherway went 2-0, earning victories over No. 17 LMU and No. 13 UC Irvine. He stopped 12 shots in a one-goal decision over No. 17 LMU and followed that with 14 stops in a overtime comeback win over No. 13 UC Irvine.
Pozaric's stellar rookie season continued as he contributed 10 points, four steals, three drawn ejections and did not lose a sprint in Princeton's 3-0 weekend in California. He registered his eighth hat trick of the season in a one-goal victory over No. 17 LMU. He put three points on a 14-9 decision over No. 10 Pepperdine and secured four points in a comeback win over No. 13 UC Irvine.
The Tigers are 10-2 this season,, having won six games in a row. Up next are a pair of matches in DeNunzio Pool on September 25. Princeton hosts Navy (1 p.m.) and Wagner (6 p.m.)
