Women’s Tennis to Play at ITA Northeast Regional

PRINCETON, N.J. – Five members of the Princeton University women's tennis team will play at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championships, beginning on Friday, October 1.

Senior Stephanie Schrage, juniors Grace Joyce and Michelle Sorokko, sophomore Neha Velaga along with freshman Leena Bennetto will be taking the court at the ITA Northeast Regional.

Hosted by the University of Pennsylvania, the championships will conclude on Sunday, October 3. Four rounds of singles (128-player bracket) and doubles (64-team bracket) will be played this weekend, with the final eight singles players and four doubles teams advancing to the ITA Super-Regional that is scheduled for October 15-18 at Princeton.

The winners of Round of 16 singles and QF doubles matches will advance to the ITA Super-Regional which is scheduled for October 15-18 in Princeton, N.J.

Most recently, the Tigers sent student-athletes to three tournaments; the Wolfpack Invitational/Ranked Spotlight from Thursday, September 23, to Sunday, September 26, the Kitty Harrison Invitational from Friday, September 24, to Sunday, September 26 along with the Drexel Invitational on Saturday, September 25.
