Princeton will send runners to a pair of meets on Friday, with a group heading to South Bend and the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational and another collection of Tigers representing at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh.
The Tigers enter the weekend ranked No. 30 in the latest USTFCCCA National Rankings, and No. 2 in the Mid-Atlantic Region. At Notre Dame, the Tigers will test their mettle against 12 other programs ranked inside the Top-30, including No. 2 N.C. State, No. 3 New Mexico, No. 6 Alabama, No, 7 Minnesota and No. 8 Washington. Only Penn joins the Tigers in South Bend representing the Ivy League.
In Bethlehem, the Tigers will see a few more familiar faces with Ivy League foes Cornell, Penn and Yale also sending representatives in addition to Mid-Atlantic mainstays Villanova, Georgetown and Penn State.
"We are excited to be spreading out around the country as we continue to challenge ourselves and embrace the opportunities we have this season," said head coach Brad Hunt. "The Paul Short Run is a classic event on the schedule, it's a great competitive environment and another chance for our team to gain familiarity with the course we'll compete on at Regionals. For those making the trip to Notre Dame, we're going to line up against teams we expect to see again in November and it's important to start gauging where we are as a group headed toward the meat of our schedule."
This weekend marks the final road trip of the regular season for the Tigers. Next up is the Princeton Invitational on October 16 followed by Heps at home on October 30.
