TEMPE, Ariz. – Freshman Victoria Hu and senior Brianna Shvets of the Princeton University women's tennis team were featured in the 2021 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) women's preseason rankings, as announced by the organization Tuesday.
Hu earned the No. 9 spot in the ITA newcomer rankings, while Shvets was tabbed No. 102 in the ITA singles rankings. Prior to the cancellation of the 2019-20 season in March 2020, Shvets was ranked No. 17 in the ITA Singles Rankings.
Along with earning recognition in the ITA preseason rankings, Hu and Shvets will also play in qualifying singles at the ITA All-American Championships in Charleston, South Carolina, from Monday, October 4, to Sunday, October 10.
The Tigers will open the 2021-22 season at a pair of tournaments from Friday, September 24, to Sunday, September 26; the Kitty Harrison Invitational in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and the Cissie Leary Invitational in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
