Pair of Philadelphia Events Set to Host Fencing Teams This Weekend

A pair of events against several of the nation's top teams will welcome the Princeton fencing teams this weekend, with the Tigers heading to a Temple-hosted event on Friday and a Penn-hosted event on Sunday.
Princeton is ranked No. 3 on the women's side and No. 4 on the men's side, and the teams that hold the top two spots in both the men's and women's polls, Notre Dame and Columbia, are on Princeton's schedule for the Penn event.
The weekend will begin at Temple for two contests for each Princeton team between the afternoon and evening on Friday against No. 8 Temple and Johns Hopkins for the women and No. 12 North Carolina and Johns Hopkins for the men.
Princeton's day on Sunday will begin at 11 a.m. for five matches for each Tiger team. The women will face No. 6 Northwestern at 11 a.m., Yale at 1 p.m., No. 5 Ohio State at 2:15 p.m., No. 1 Notre Dame at 3:30 p.m., and No. 2 Columbia at 4:45 p.m. The men will follow the same schedule against Northwestern, No. 10 Yale, No. 3 Ohio State, No. 1 Notre Dame and No. 2 Columbia.
Following the Philadelphia weekend, Princeton's fencing teams will have one more event, the MIT-hosted Eric Sollee Invitational, on Jan. 30 before the Ivy meet on Feb. 12-13 at Brown.
