ITA Super Regional Championships Begin for Women's Tennis

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – No. 3 and top-seeded Daria Frayman of the Princeton University women's tennis team advanced to the singles quarterfinals Friday on the first day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Super Regional Champions at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center.

In the round of 32, Frayman dispatched Erman Zeynep of Syracuse, 6-3, 6-2; Zoe Howard also prevailed in the round of 32, along with Leena Bennetto. Howard earned a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Seton Hall's Arina Gumerova, and Bennetto took down Joleta Budiman of NJIT, 7-5, 6-3.

Frayman also prevailed 6-3, 6-1 over Chidimma Okpara of Dartmouth in the round of 16, earning a spot in the quarterfinals.
