Women's Volleyball Hosts Harvard & Dartmouth in Homecoming Week

1. Last Time Out: Princeton completed the season sweep of the University of Pennsylvania on Friday, October 21, with a 3-1 (25-14, 23-15, 25-20, 25-17) victory over the Quakers inside the Palestra. Senior Melina Mahood compiled a match and career-high 24 kills, while senior Avery Luoma recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 15 digs. With a 7-1 record in Ivy League play, the Tigers are second in the conference standings, one spot behind Yale who has an 8-0 record in Ivy matches.
2. National Leaders: Along with leading the nation in kills (14.73) and assists (13.71), the Tigers also rank 10th in the nation in hitting percentage (.289). Senior Lindsey Kelly is also the national assist leader (11.88). Conference-wise, the Tigers lead the Ivy League in digs (15.81). Individually, Avery Luoma leads the conference in points (4.24) and kills (3.82), while Dames ranks first in digs (4.82). Additionally, senior Melina Mahood ranks second in kills (3.77), and freshman Lucia Scalamandre second in blocks (1.21)
3. Last Time They Met: The Tigers earned a 3-1 (25-22, 25-18, 20-25, 25-22) victory over Harvard on Saturday, October 1, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Princeton also defeated Dartmouth, 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 26-24), in Hanover, New Hampshire, on Friday, September 30.
4. Moving up in the Record Book: With 1,424 digs in her career, Dames, the 2019 Ivy League Defensive Player and a three-time All-Ivy League honoree, currently ranks No. 5 all-time in school history in the category. She is 17 digs behind Head Coach Sabrina King, who tallied 1,440 digs during her playing career at Princeton.
