Challenging Field Awaits Tigers at Baltusrol for Ivy Intercolllegiate

Six top-50 teams and nine top-100 teams are set to compete in the 12-team Ivy Intercollegiate held at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J., Monday and Tuesday.
The 12-team field is split between the Ivy League and the ACC, with all six Ivy programs (Columbia, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton, Yale) included alongside half of the ACC, with Clemson, Florida State, Miami, North Carolina, N.C. State and Notre Dame.
Reigning Ivy champ Princeton is among those top-100 teams, a group headed by a pair of teams in Golfweek's top 25 in No. 17 Florida State and No. 23 Clemson. The field will play 36 holes Monday on the Lower Course, beginning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, and 18 Tuesday on the Upper Course, beginning with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Tuesday's play will be in a match play format with each Ivy player competing against the ACC player who finished in that placement at the end of Monday's stroke play. Both courses will have a par of 72 with the upper course at 6,283 yards and the lower at 6,190.

Baltusrol's Lower Course has hosted for U.S. Opens on the men's most recently in 1993, two PGA Championships on the men's side, last in 2016, the 1961 U.S. Women's Open, three U.S. Amateurs on the men's side, last in 2000 in a tournament that used both courses, and a U.S. Junior Amateur on the men's side, using both courses in 2018. The Upper Course hosted the 1985 U.S. Women's Open and the 1936 U.S. Open for the men.
The event will also include a networking event Sunday at the USGA Museum & Library in Liberty Corner, N.J. Gabrielle Herzig, a contributing editor at Golf Digest, will host a panel that includes Anne T. Madden, the Senior VP and General Counsel at Honeywell, Shannon Boyle, a Vice President at Morgan Stanley, Stephanie Wei, co-founder and VP of Marketing and Communications at Sportsbox AI, and Abby Mann, Player Development and Teaching Professional at Aronimink Golf Club outside Philadelphia.
