ITA Regional Championships Commence for Men's Tennis

PHILADELPHIA – The Princeton University men's tennis team won all three matches on the opening day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Regional Championship, Friday at the Hamlin Tennis Center.
All three Tigers who played in the singles round of 128 advanced to the round of 65; Filippos Astreinidis overcame Rider's Dhruv Tangri, 4-6, 6-2, 6-0, and Matthew Bosancic overcame Hugo Cochlin of St. Bonaventure, 6-4, 6-2. Alan Kam also earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Adam Kush of St. Francis (Pa.).
The trio will be joined in the round of 64 tomorrow with Will Peters, Ben Smith, Ellis Short, and Sebastian Sec. All Princeton doubles teams earned byes in the round of 64, and will open doubles play in the round of 32 tomorrow.
