No. 8 Men's Water Polo Drops Brown, 12-7; Advances To NWPC Championship

PROVIDENCE – No. 8 Men's Water Polo used seven different scorers and a 13-save performance from West Temkin to drop the Brown Bears, 12-7, in the Northeast Water Polo Conference Tournament Semifinals.
With the win, Princeton will play for the conference crown tomorrow vs. No. 19 St. Francis-Brooklyn at 1 p.m. The Tigers are looking for their second consecutive NWPC title which would mark the first time in program history they have won back-to-back conference titles.
The Tigers did not allow a goal for the first 12:50 of game action and gave up just two total in the first half as they led 4-2 at the break.
Brown opened the second half with a goal to cut the deficit to one, but Princeton ran off three straight to hold a 9-4 lead with one quarter to go.
The Bears made one more push, getting within three with two minutes to go, but tallies from Roko Pozaric and Gavin Molloy shut the door on the comeback.
