Rao Earns Rolex AJGA Junior All-America Honors

Princeton rookie Catherine Rao has earned Rolex/American Junior Golf Association second-team Junior All-America honors, the AJGA has announced.
The honor is awarded through finishes in junior golf events, many of which are conducted by the AJGA. In 2022, Rao posted a pair of top-10 finishes in AJGA events, including a runner-up finish in May at the Under Armour/Albane Valenzuela Girls Invitational and a tie for ninth at the Polo Golf Junior Classic in June. It's the third time Rao has earned Junior All-America honors from the AJGA, recognized with honorable mention in 2021 and first-team honors in 2020.
With Princeton this fall, Rao played in all four events with a high finish of a tie for 14th at Old Dominion's Evie Odom Invitational and a low round of 66 in that event, the best round in program history by a freshman and one stroke off of matching the best round in program history by a player of any class.
In all, 48 women and girls aged 14-19 were recognized by the AJGA across the first and second teams and with honorable mention status.Â
