Women's Golf Team Heads for Final Day at Columbia Classic

In a field that includes six programs ranked in Golfstat's top 40, the Princeton women's golf team began the Columbia Classic Presented by Moon Golf on Sunday with a first-round 299 at the Duran Golf Club in Viera, Fla.

Princeton will enter Monday's final round standing 11th at +40 in the 14-team field, with Tiffany Kong leading the team at +8.

Texas Tech, ranked No. 30 nationally by Golfstat, leads at +4, two strokes ahead of No. 26 Virginia Tech. The Hokies' Emily Mahar leads the field at -3, one stroke in front of a trip of players that includes Tulsa's Lilly Thomas, Georgia's Jenny Bae and Oklahoma State's Isabella Fierro.
