October 15, 2025 | Women's Golf
Scoring
Great golf was played on both sides during the Championship Match of the 2025 St. Andrews Links Collegiate between Princeton and Cal, but the Tigers came up short in a proper display for the sport at the historic Old Course at St. Andrews, 4.5 to 1.5.
Olivia Duan had the lone win for the Tigers, defeating Adora Liu, 2 Up. Duan took a 1-up lead on the first hole and was up by two through six before Liu rallied to take a 1-up lead on nine. Duan would rally, scoring par on holes 12-14 while Liu bogeyed all three to result in a 2-up lead for Duan with four holes to play.
A back-and-forth match for Abra Richmond and Claudia Lara Miravitlles saw neither player lead by more than two strokes and each team secured a half point after matching pars on 18.
Thanana Kotchasanmaee was a tough-luck loser in her match with Constance Fouillet that was the best match of the day. Kotchasanmanee was -5 for her round with five birdies and zero bogeys. Normally, that should be more than enough to win, but she ran into an opponent in Fouillet who tied the course record with a 63 (-9) that featured eight birdies and an eagle.
