Spring Season's First Tournament Complete as Tigers Wrap Play at PGA West

Freshman William Huang led Princeton as the Tigers wrapped play Wednesday at The Prestige at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif., in a field that included 11 programs ranked in Golfstat's top 50.
Huang finished tied for 21st at 9-over as Texas Tech's Ludvig Alberg won the event at -3 by two strokes over Oregon State's Carson Barry.
Vanderbilt won the team title at +16, leading runner-up Oregon by 10 strokes.
While Huang led the Tigers on the tournament, two teammates carded eagles during the event. Max Ting, who cut his score each day, had one in the opening round on the par-4 11th hole, and Connor Belcastro had one on the par-5 12th hole in Wednesday's round.

At Coral Mountain, sophomore Jackson Fretty finished tied for second at -1, carding two rounds of 70 to bookend his event. Pepperdine's Ian Maspat won the individual event at -6.
