Three Tigers on to Round of 16 at NCAAs, All Six to Wrestle Thursday Night

Princeton advanced three of its six qualifiers for the NCAA championships on to Thursday night's round of 16 competing in their first matches of the tournament on Thursday afternoon at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Mich.
Brackets are available here. All matches will be streamed on ESPN+. Tonight's evening session will start at 7 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.

125 • Patrick Glory • Jr.
Third-seeded Glory opened his NCAA championship with a 16-2 major decision over 30th-seeded Jace Koelzer of Northern Colorado in the round of 32. Glory will take on North Carolina State's (14) Jakob Camacho tonight in the round of 16.
Against Koelzer, Glory had two takedowns and a two-point near-fall in the first period to lead 6-1. An escape, a takedown and a penalty point helped push Glory's lead to 10-1 after two, and a pair of takedowns, another penalty point and the riding-time point extended Glory's lead in the third.
149 • Marshall Keller • Jr.
Third-seeded Austin Gomez of Wisconsin defeated Keller, seeded 30th, 12-0 in the round of 32. Keller will take on 33rd-seeded Dashawn Farber of Lock Haven in a wrestleback on Thursday night.
Against Gomez, Keller allowed just a takedown in the first period, but Gomez opened the lead with a takedown and a four-point near-fall after an escape to lead 9-0. Another takedown in the third and the riding-time point closed it out for Gomez.
157 • Quincy Monday • Jr.
Fifth-seeded Monday was a 3-2 winner over Virginia Tech's 28th-seeded Connor Brady in the round of 32 and will take on (12) Jacob Wright of Wyoming in the round of 16 tonight.
Against Brady, Monday opened the scoring with a takedown off the start, and after Brady followed with an escape, Monday held a 2-1 lead through the end of the period. Monday added to that with an escape to start hte second period, and although Brady pulled within a point with an escape to start the third, Monday stayed in front for the win.
184 • Travis Stefanik • Jr.
Nebraska's 10th-seeded Taylor Venz defeated Stefanik, seeded 23rd, 9-2 in the round of 32. Stefanik will return to face 26th-seeded Donnell Washington of Indiana in a wrestleback Thursday night.
Venz opened the scoring with a takedown late in the first and added to it with another takedown in the second. Stefanik had an escape later in the period to stand down 4-1 after two. Venz added a reversal and a takedown, plus the riding-time point, around a Stefanik escape in the third.
197 • Luke Stout • Fr.
Stout, seeded 18th, was a 6-4 winner in overtime against N.C. State's 15th-seeded Isaac Trumble in the round of 32 in his NCAA Championships debut. Stout will take on (2) Stephen Buchanan of Wyoming in the round of 16 on Thursday night.
Stout opened the match against Trumble with a first-minute takedown, but Trumble soon answered with an escape and had a takedown of his own at the end of the period to pull in front 3-2. After a scoreless second period, Trumble moved the lead to 4-2 with an escape early in the third, but Stout tied it with a takedown with 52 seconds to go. Stout's winning takedown came with 1:42 to go in the overtime to advance.
HWT • Matt Cover • So.
Cover, seeded 32nd, lost in a pigtail match 2-0 against 33rd-seeded Tyrell Gordon of Northern Iowa. Cover will wrestle Thursday night against (30) Josh Heindselman of Oklahoma.
