Tigers' Six NCAA Qualifiers Learn Seeds, First-Round Opponents

The NCAA announced the draws for the wrestling championships set to begin on Thursday, March 17 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Mich. Here's a look at where the six Tiger qualifiers stand:
125 • Patrick Glory • Jr. • Third NCAA bid (sixth, 2019; 2020 championships canceled)
Glory won an automatic bid with a runner-up finish at the EIWA Championships last weekend and was seeded third. He'll open against Northern Colorado's third-seeded Jace Koelzer. The two wrestled in the quarterfinals at the Cliff Keen Invitational in December, with Glory winning in a second-period fall.
149 • Marshall Keller • Jr. • First NCAA bid
Keller earned an automatic bid by winning four consolation bouts, all against higher-seeded opponents, to make the third-place bout at the EIWA Championships and clinch the ticket to the NCAAs. Keller drew the 30th seed and will start against Wisconsin's third-seeded Austin Gomez. The two wrestled in the quarterfinals at the MatMen Open in December with Gomez winning on a first-period pin.
157: Quincy Monday • Jr. • Third NCAA bid (0-2, 2019; 2020 championships canceled)
Monday won his first EIWA title to clinch a bid last weekend. He's seeded fifth and will wrestle 28th-seeded Connor Brady of Virginia Tech. The two met in the final of the Southeast Open in November, which Monday won in a 7-3 decision.
184: Travis Stefanik • Jr. • Third NCAA bid (0-2 at 174, 2019; 2020 championships canceled)
Stefanik finished second at the EIWAs last weekend to clinch a bid. He's seeded 23rd and willl take on 10th-seeded Taylor Venz of Nebraska. The two met in the quarterfinals at the Cliff Keen Invitational in December, with Venz getting a 6-2 decision.
197: Luke Stout • Fr. • First NCAA bid
Stout finished second at the EIWAs to clinch a bid. He has the 18th seed and will open against 15th-seeded Isaac Trimble of North Carolina State. Princeton and N.C. State met in a dual in January in Jadwin, though Stout did not wrestle that day. Aidan Conner competed at 197, defeating Trumble in a first-period pin.
HWT: Matt Cover • So. • First NCAA bid
Cover was an at-large selection on Tuesday after coming up one win short of an automatic bid at the EIWA meet. He holds the 32nd seed and will start in a pigtail match against 33rd-seeded Tyrell Gordon of Northern Iowa. The two wrestlers have not met in college competition.
