Unbeaten Week, No-Hitter Earn Chang, Laudenslager Ivy Weekly Honors

An unbeaten week and a no-hitter have earned Princeton players a pair of Ivy League weekly softball honors.
After a week that saw her hit .625, Adrienne Chang is the Ivy League Player of the Week, going 10 for 16 with two doubles (.750 slugging), two walks (.632 on-base) and five RBI. Chang had hits in al five games on the week and had three multi-hit games, driving in runs in four of the five games.
For the second time in a month, Alexis Laudenslager threw a no-hitter, and for the second time in a month, Laudenslager was named the Ivy Pitcher of the Week, sharing the honor this week. Laudenslager made two appearances over 7 1/3 innings, striking out 15 batters and giving up no earned runs on four hits and four walks over that span. In no-hitting Yale in Princeton's 12-0, five-inning win, Laudenslager struck out 10 batters and walked three, becoming just the second pitcher in program history (Erin Snyder '06 in 2005) to throw two solo no-hitters in the same season and the first pitcher in program history to no-hit two Ivy League teams in the same season, as Laudenslager no-hit Brown on March 20.
On the week, Princeton went 4-0-1, getting a win and a tie in a midweek non-league twinbill at Lehigh before sundown intervened, and swept a three-game series from Yale to stand with an Ivy-best 11 wins.Â
Princeton will host Penn for three games Saturday and Sunday at Princeton Softball Stadium at Strubing Field in what wil be Princeton's second-to-last Ivy League series of the regular season.Â
