Women's Track & Field Wins One Major Award, Nine Named All-Ivy

IVY LEAGUE RELEASE
PRINCETON, N.J. – Along with garnering one major award, nine individuals from the Princeton University women's track & field team earned all-conference honors as the Ivy League announced its postseason awards Tuesday afternoon.
Competing in her first Ivy League Heptagonal Championships, sophomore Kate Joyce was honored as the Most Outstanding Field Performer, after winning the javelin and setting new Ivy League, Heps meet, and school records in the process with a throw of 51.96 meters. She was also named First Team All-Ivy League in the event.
Siniru Iheoma, who was competing in her first outdoor Heps, collected a pair of First Team All-Ivy League honors after winning both the shot put and the discus. In the discus, Iheoma moved up to No. 3 on the Tigers' all-time list with a mark of 50.36 meters. Iheoma now has three All-Ivy League honors to her name, as she was also First Team All-Ivy League in the shot put after Indoor Heps in 2022.
Sophomore Brianna Mponzi, sophomore Nia Mosby, junior Olivia Hee, and senior Grace Lanouette earned First Team All-Ivy League honors in the 4x100-meter relay. Along with wining the event, the quartet set a new school record of 45.19. Lanouette is now a two-time All-Ivy honoree, colleting second team honors after 2022 Indoor Heps in the 60 meters.
Mosby also collected Second Team All-Ivy League honors in the 200 meters, where she finished as runner-up and set a new school record of 23.67.
In the 1,500 meters, Caroline Timm was named Second Team All-Ivy League after finishing second in the event. Timm now has two All-Ivy League honors, as she was name to second team in the 1,000 meters at 2022 Indoor Heps.
Sophomore Annika Kelly finished second in the hammer throw, and earned Second Team All-Ivy League honors.
Junior Maggie Hock added her third All-Ivy League honor of the year in the 800 meters, after she earned a second-place finish. At Indoor Heps, she was named to the first team in the 4x800 relay, and the 800 meters.
