USTFCCCA Lists Men’s Track and Field at No. 19 in Final Regular Season Rankings

PRINCETON, N.J. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its final NCAA Division I Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index of the regular season, with the Princeton Men's Track and Field Team checking in at No. 19 in the nation.
The Tigers have four top-10 marks in the nation, including Ed Trippas (8:30.25) ranking third in the 3000-meter steeplechase, Sondre Guttormsen (5.75 m) and Simen Guttormsen (5.65 m) ranking third and fourth in the pole vault, and Robbie Otal (62.77 m) ranking seventh in the discus.
Four more from the orange and black rank in the top-20 in the nation. Chandler Ault (72.47 m) ranks 14th in the javelin, Sam Rodman (1:47.25) ranks 19th in the 800 meters and C.J. Licata (19.41 m) and Aviram Shwarzbard (7.85 m) rank 20th in the shot put and long jump respectively.
In their most recent outing at the Tiger Elite Invitational, Sam Rodman (1:47.25) set a new program record in the 800 meters. In addition, the orange and black added five more top-10 marks.
The NCAA Regionals will take place from May 25th – May 28th at the Robert C. Haugh Track and Field Complex in Bloomington, Indiana.
