Men’s Tennis Garners Four All-Ivy League Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced its postseason awards for men's tennis Thursday afternoon, and the Princeton University men's tennis team received four All-Ivy League selections.
The No. 32 ranked doubles tandem of Ryan Seggerman and Justin Barki earned first-team honors, while Seggerman, Barki and Karl Poling were named second-team All-Ivy.
The doubles pairing of Ryan Seggerman and Justin Barki went 12-3 on the year with four ranked victories, including an upset over then No. 18 Brian Shi and Daniel Milavsky of Harvard.
No. 55 Ryan Seggerman finished the regular season with a 16-9 record. Seggerman earned three ranked wins, including a triumph over then No. 27 Alafia Ayeni of Cornell, which sparked a ten consecutive match win streak.
Justin Barki went 19-9 this season, winning his last three Ivy League matchups to end the year with a 4-2 conference record. Barki's best win came against then No. 30 Tyler Zink of Oklahoma State.
Karl Poling went 19-13 overall and 5-2 in Ivy play, highlighted by a come from behind victory over then No. 70 Brian Shi of Harvard. Poling also contributed 22 doubles victories, playing with three different partners.
The Tigers (18-8) will face the No. 17 ranked Arizona Wildcats (20-12) in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Friday, May 6 at 1:00 p.m.
