March 12, 2026 | Men's Tennis
For nearly two hours, it looked like the Tigers were in control. In the end, though, it went the Tigers' way.
The Tigers from Princeton, ranked 29th, needed to rally to overtake another set of Tigers, the ones from Memphis, and rally they did, taking four straight singles matches to pull out a 4-2 win in a match at the University of San Diego Thursday afternoon.
Memphis took the doubles point and went up 2-0 with a win at No. 2 singles. In addition, Memphis was up a set at No. 3 and No. 5.
From there, the Princeton version of Tigers took off. First Aleksandar Mitric finished up a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 6, and Sebastian Sec won 7-5, 6-2 at No. 4, getting a break at 5-5 after both players had held serve in the first set to that point.
Paul Inchauspe then closed it out at No. 1 with a tough 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 win over Maxime Dubouch, putting the Tigers up 4-2. Milan Markovits had split sets at No. 5 and was down 1-0 in the third when that match was abandoned.
The win improved Princeton to 14-4 with a match against No. 14 San Diego Saturday.
