Tigers Atop Field at ODU as Play Suspended

Princeton was tied atop the leaderboard at ODU's Evie Odom Invitational at the suspension of play Thursday evening at Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach, Va.
With some players' first rounds complete and others with as many as three holes left to play, wind caused suspension of play Thursday. Weather was deemed unplayable Friday, and play will resume Saturday at noon for the completion of round one and continue for round two. Sunday will feature one round, beginning with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.
Princeton and College of Charleston finished Thursday at +10 to share the lead. Among the 11 birdies Princeton players turned in during Thursday's play, four came on par-3 holes, with Victoria Liu, Grace Ni, Caris Kim and Catherine Rao getting one each. Each Tiger other than Ni had one hole left to play, with Ni having two holes to go.
C of C's Emma Schimpf leads individually at -3 with James Madison's Kate Owens two shots back at -1 and Liu one of four players at +1. Kim, Tiffany Kong and Rao are all tied for 11th at +3 with Ni tied for 58th at +9.
