National Wrestling Hall of Fame's N.J. Chapter Honors Deehan '84

Dr. Michael Deehan '84, a four-year letterwinner with the Tigers, is among six to be honored by the New Jersey Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as part of its induction Class of 2022.
Deehan's Princeton teams, under head coach John Johnston, had a dual-match record of 72-23-2 overall and had sixth-place finishes at the EIWA in Deehan's rookie season in 1981 and senior season in 1984.
As part of his induction, Deehan will receive the organization's Outstanding American Award, recognizing his career as an orthopedic surgeon and contributions to the sport, including serving as the physician at the NJSIAA tournament since 1996.
A biology major at Princeton, Deehan earned his doctorate at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, now part of Rutgers.
The honorees will be recognized Sept. 25 at the Westin Princeton. Event information is available here.
