BERKELEY, Calif. – Playing in the opening round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Kickoff Weekend at the Hellman Tennis Complex Friday afternoon, the Princeton University women's tennis team fell to No. 12 California, 4-1.

Grace Joyce earned a win for the Tigers in singles at the No. 6 position, overcoming Erin Richardson, 6-3, 6-2. No. 4 Daria Frayman up 6-4, 6-5 and serving for match point before her match went unfinished, and in doubles she teamed with Neha Velaga; the duo were up 4-3 against No. 15 Jessica Alsola and Katja WIersholm at the No. 1 position prior to the match going unfinished.
