TULSA, Okla. – Play continued Monday for members of the Princeton University men's tennis team at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American Championships, a day that saw No. 118 Sebastian Sec and Ellis Short advance in the qualifying singles round.
The Tigers earned a pair of wins in singles, with Sec overcoming No. 82 Mihailo Popovic of Wisconsin, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1, and Short taking down Dhakshineswar Suresh of Wake Forest, 7-5, 6-4. The victory improves Short's winning streak to five matches.
In doubles, Sec and Short upended Tulane's Alex Bancila and Rafael De Albla, 6-3, 6-4, and Fnu Nidunjianzan and Paul Inchauspe outlasted Jordan Hasson and Mark Mandilk of Oklahoma, 6-3, 6-4.
