Men's Soccer Drops Match to Harvard 2-1 After Late Penalty Kick

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Princeton men's soccer team (4-7-3) fell 2-1 to Harvard this afternoon at Jordan Field.
How It Happened
Princeton faced a serious defensive battle in the first half only tallying two shots. Daniel Ittycheria and Walker Gillespie gave the Princeton their only chances at scoring within the first 45 minutes. The score was tied 0-0 going into the break.
Harvard's goal in the 49th minute from Ale Gutierrez gave the Crimson the lead early into the second half.
Looking for the equalizer, Daniel Ittycheria crossed into heavy traffic but found Kevin Kelley, who's header missed left of the goal.
With less than three minutes to play, Walker Gillespie found Will Francis who netted the ball to find the equalizer.

A critical foul in the penatly box awarded Harvard a late game penalty kick. Harvard's Ale Gutierrez scored the go-ahead penalty kick goal and secured the win.
The Tigers would go on to fall 2-1 at the end of 90 minutes.
