Men’s Soccer Drops Match To No. 8 Georgetown 3-0

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Princeton men's soccer team (3-4-1) dropped its match to No. 8 Georgetown this evening at Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium. The Tigers had several scoring opportunities but were unable to put any points on the board. The Hoyas walked away with a 3-0 win
How It Happened
- The Tigers had an early scoring opportunity when Whit Gamblin headed a ball off the crossbar just 63 seconds into the game.
- Georgetown's Zach Zengue put the ball in the low right part of the back of the net off of an assist from Marlon Tabora in the 12th minute to open the scoring in the match.
- A pair of blocked shots in the 19th minute from Jack Jasinski and Ryan Winkler nearly gave the Tigers the equalizer.
- Georgetown's Jacob Murrell scored the second goal of the match off of an assist from Marlon Tabora.
- The Tigers outshot Georgetown 6-5 going into the half.
- The freshman Sebastian Swary saw his first minutes of play time in the 53rd minute.
- Logan Oyama saw 46 minutes of playing time and had a big impact on the Tiger's offensive possession.
- Georgetown's Joe Buck scored an unassisted goal in the 70th minute to extend the Hoya lead to 3.
- In the 84th minute, Daniel Ittycheria nearly found a Tiger goal from 20 yards out but missed the net left.
- The Tigers tallied 11 total shots with 5 of them on goal, but were unable to find any success.
- The final score, 3-0 in favor of No. 8 Georgetown
