Tigers to Open 2023-24 Season Sunday at Ohio State

Princeton's fencing teams, ranked No. 1 in the U.S. Fencing Coaches Association preseason poll on the women's side and No. 3 on the men's, will open the 2023-24 season on Sunday at Ohio State's Elite Invitational.

The Tigers will have six matches on the day on the women's side and five on the men's, with five of the women's matches against fellow top-15 teams, including No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 5 Northwestern, No. 5 Ohio State, No. 9 Duke and No. 15 Air Force, and three top-10 matches on the men's, against No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 4 Ohio State, and No. 9 Duke.

Eee Princeton was the national runner-up last season at the combined men's/women's NCAA Championships, seeing 11 fencers earn All-American honors. Six of those return, including senior saber Ryan Jenkins and junior épée Jessica Lin on the women's side and junior saber Ronald Anglade, sophomore saber Matthew Limb, sophomore foil Brandon Lee and senior épée Tristan Szapary.

Following the Ohio State meet, Princeton will visit Sacred Heart for a day of duals on Dec. 3.
