PRINCETON, NJ - The No. 10 ranked Princeton men's cross country team is set to compete in the NCAA DI Cross Country Championships. This year's 10-kilometer race is officially slated to begin at 11:10 a.m. and will be hosted at the Panorama Farms Cross Country Course in Charlottesville, Virginia. The race will be broadcast live on ESPNU and the ESPN app with coverage set to begin at 9:30 a.m.
At last week's Mid-Atlantic Regionals, the Tigers secured the top spot as a team, earning an automatic bid to the 2023 NCAA Championships. All seven runners representing Princeton claimed positions in the top 25, earning them all-region honors. Paired with their victory at the Ivy Heptagonal Cross Country Championships a couple weeks before, the Tigers have been notably led by Nicholas Bendtsen and Jarrett Kirk, both recipients of First-Team All-Ivy honors, and 4th and 6th place finishers at NCAA Regionals.
In the Rankings
In the latest Week 6 USTFCCCA NCAA Division I Men's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll, the Tigers have climbed six spots to claim the 10th position nationally after their recent victories at Heps and NCAA Regionals.
VIG-orous Insights
"The guys have trained all year for this," said head coach Jason Vigilante. "We are going to embrace the opportunity to compete against a field of great schools and talented runners. We aim to build upon the momentum that we have generated from Heps and NCAA regionals, but we also know that this is an entirely new race. Saturday presents a fresh challenge. I'm excited to see how our guys compete at this highest level."
Tickets/Shuttle Information
Admission, parking at Fashion Square Mall, and round-trip shuttle service to Panorama Farms are all covered by a $20 ticket. Tickets can be purchased in advance here.
On-site parking is not available for the championship, so all attendees are required to utilize the provided shuttle service.
