Men's Fencing Team to Head to Sacred Heart's Tradition Meet Sunday

Ranked No. 3 in the nation, the Princeton men's fencing team will head to Sacred Heart for the Pioneers' Tradition Meet for five bouts on Sunday.

Princeton will start the day with two bouts against fellow ranked teams, opening against No. 6 Penn State at 10 a.m. with No. 12 NYU to follow at 11 a.m. Matchups with Vassar (12 p.m.), Sacred Heart (2 p.m.) and NJIT (3 p.m.) will round out the day.

Princeton opened the season two weekends ago with a 4-1 record at the Ohio State Elite Invitational, defeating two of the other three ranked opponents it faced in getting wins over No. 4 Ohio State and No. 9 Duke with the lone loss to No. 1 Notre Dame, 16-11.

The Sacred Heart event will be Princeton's last of 2023 and last until the two-day Penn Invitational, set for Jan. 19 and 21 in Philadelphia.
