Men's Volleyball Sweeps St. Francis Brooklyn 3-0

Princeton, NJ - The Princeton men's volleyball team defeated the Terriers of St. Francis Brooklyn in a three-set sweep in Dillon Gymnasium, 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-22).
Ben Harrington led the match in kills with 8 and aces with 7. Nyherowo Omene and Gavin Leising each totaled two blocks for the night. Henry Wedbush led the Tigers in assists with 24, and in digs with 5.
Set One
The Tigers opened the match strong, battling the Terriers with back and forth scoring. Ben Harrington made a statement on the court, with three aces in a row to put the Tigers up 7-6.
Tied at 11-11, the Tigers took a three point scoring run to put Princeton ahead 14-11.
Kills from Nyherowo Omene, Ben Harrington, and Ryan Vena all contributed to extending the Tigers' lead 20-16.
Princeton closed out the first set on fire with a four-point scoring streak that featured two kills from Brady Wedbush. Princeton gained an early 1-0 lead to win the set with a score of 25-19.
Set Two
Princeton continued to bring the pressure in the second set. The Tigers took an early 11-6 lead that featured back-to-back kills from Ryan Vena, and a pair of kills from Gavin Leising.
A three-point, Tiger scoring run featuring a kill and an ace from Nyherowo Omene put Princeton ahead 16-10.
A strong Tiger offense mixed with several Terrier errors produced another Tiger lead 23-15.
Nyherowo Omene and Ben Harrington contributed more Tiger points from kills to support the Tiger lead.
The Terriers failed to ever take the lead in set two, and a Ryan Vena service ace was able to close out set two in favor of Princeton with a score of 25-16.

The Tigers were ready to take care of business on their home court and win set three. Another early lead was taken thanks to a four-point scoring streak that featured kills from Nate Thompson and Harrington to put Princeton ahead 13-8.
Although St. Francis did fight back to close the gap to 16-20, Princeton stayed on top to win set three 25-22 thanks to an Omene kill, several Terrier errors, and another pair of back-to back Harrington aces.
