Princeton, N.J. - Princeton, N.J. – The Princeton Men's Volleyball team has a pair of home matches lined up against California State University Northridge (CSUN) on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. and on Friday against St. Francis Brooklyn at 5:00 p.m. inside Dillon Gymnasium.
The Tigers go into this weeks' matches following a 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-14, 25-22) win over Sacred Heart University.
Ben Harrington leads the Tigers so far with 3.97 kills/set for the teams' eight matches played for the 2023 season on a .348 hitting percentage. Harrington also leads the team in service aces with 21.
Henry Wedbush leads Princeton in digs/set with 1.39, and Nyherowo Omene has totaled 20 blocks for 2023, averaging .65 blocks/set.
CSUN
The Matadors are 5-5 so far for the 2023 season. Most recently, CSUN upset No. 6 Stanford 3-2 in a five-set thriller after being down 2-1. Like Princeton, the team has fallen to some top ranked opponents such as No. 2 UCLA 0-3, and No. 10 USC 1-3.
The last match between the Tigers and the Matadors was in 2020 when Princeton defeated CSUN 3-0 in Northridge California to take a non-conference victory on the west coast.
St. Francis Brooklyn
St. Francis Brooklyn holds a 3-4 record overall for the 2023 season. The Terriers have faced fellow EIVA institution NJIT, falling 1-3. Going into Saturday's match, St. Francis Brooklyn will be coming off a 0-3 loss to No. 9 Loyola Chicago.
Princeton last met the Terriers in March of 2022, defeating St. Francis Brooklyn 3-0. This will be just the third match played between Princeton and St. Francis and the second time facing the Terriers in Dillon for Princeton.
