Newark, N.J. - Don't call it a comeback! After trailing NJIT by two sets, the Princeton Tigers took a five set victory over the Highlanders 3-2. ( 14-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-16, 15-11)

Henry Wedbush also led the team in blocks, with 3 total for the night.
Set One
The match began in favor of the Highlanders. Despite three kills from both James Hartley and Nyherowo Omene to put some early, Princeton points on the board, the Highlanders managed to stay on a scoring streak to defeat Princeton in set one 25-14.
Set Two
The Tigers fell just short to the Highlanders in the second set. Princeton could not manage to take the lead over the Highlanders, despite continuing to claw back from a five-point deficit at 5-10 to come back to trail NJIT 14-16.
The Tigers began to warm up offensively as a team, with more kills from James Hartley, Brady Wedbush, and Ben Harrington making an impact. Despite back-to-back service aces from Nyherowo Omene, the Tigers fell to NJIT 22-25 in the second set.
Set Three
Set three sparked the big time Tiger offense that Princeton needed. Princeton and the Highlanders were point for point throughout the third set, all the way up to 16-16.
Ryan Vena made an immediate impact on the court, nabbing three kills to put Princeton ahead of NJIT 19-17. A four-point Princeton scoring streak was enough to spark the Tiger offense, and the team gained their first set victory of the match, taking set three 25-20.
Set Four
Princeton evened the score 2-2 in set four, winning 25-16. A five-point Princeton scoring streak propelled the Tiger offense ahead of the Highlanders 19-13. Following back-to-back kills from Omene and Harrington, the Tiger lead was increased to seven, with Princeton leading 22-14. Set four ended with a bang, featuring three consecutive Omene kills to close out the set 25-16 in favor of Princeton, to take Saturday's match to a fifth and final set.
Set Five
Another evenly matched set began in a point for point fashion. Tied at 9-9, it was not until a three-point scoring streak that featured two Ben Harrington kills propelled the Tigers ahead. A series of Highlander errors combined with the determined Tiger offense was enough to hand Princeton the set win, 15-11.
Despite being down 0-2 to begin Saturday's match, the Princeton men put their grit and determination on full display to win three straight sets and gain an essential EIVA win on the road.
