
Men’s Volleyball to take on NJIT in Regular Season Finale

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's volleyball team will wrap up regular season play with a final home match against NJIT inside Dillon Gymnasium on Friday April 14th at 7:00 p.m.
Last Time Out
Princeton claimed the season sweep of No. 14 Charleston on Saturday evening, downing the Golden Eagles 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 27-25, 26-24) defeating the ranked, conference opponent.
Junior Ben Harrington led the way for Princeton, leading the match in kills with 17, and also adding three service aces. Henry Wedbush led the match in assists with 46 and in digs with eight. Ryan Vena was a force defensively, finishing with a match and career-high six blocks.
Prior to the Tigers' contest against the Highlanders on Friday, a short ceremony will be held honoring the Class of 2023; Brady Wedbush, Alexander Mrkalj, Danny Sun, Nate Thompson, Rodrigo Fernandez, and Nico Posivak. The Tigers will look to take a final victory at home before heading into the EIVA tournament.
Through 23 Matches
Harrington leads the Tigers in kills per set (3.60), and service aces per set (.706). He leads the EIVA and ranks third in the nation in aces per set and lalso eads the EIVA and is tenth in the nation in points per set (4.49).
The EIVA tournament top seed and site are set, but there is still much to be determined following the final week of the regular season. Penn State has locked in the top seed and will host the EIVA Championship Tournament at Rec Hall April 19th - 22nd. Match pairings are still to be determined, but match times are tentatively set and appear on the bracket HERE.
The top two seeds receive a first-round bye and open the tournament in the semifinals. Princeton and Charleston are competing for the two and three seeds. The Tigers earn the number two seed by beating NJIT, or with one Golden Eagle loss in their two matches at Penn State this weekend.
