Women's Track and Field Opens Up Weekend Competition at UVA Challenge

Day 1 Results
Charlottesville, VA - The Princeton women's track and field team opened up competition at the UVA Challenge on Thursday with the women's hammer throw and women's heptathlon.
Annika Kelly was the top Tiger to finish in the hammer throw, finishing with a season best mark of 59.39m to land within the top ten finishers on Thursday among a competitive field of collegiate throwers.
In the Heptathlon, Julia Jongejeugd currently has 2776 points after completing the 100m hurdles, high jump, shot put, and 200m. Throughout Thursday's events Jongejeugd finished with personal bests in three including the 100m hurdles (15.53), High Jump (1.52m), and Shot Put (11.69m).
Jongejeugd will complete coemption this weekend with the long jump, javelin, and 800m in Charlottesville. The remainder of the weekend is set to be full of more strong performances from the Tiger squad.
Up Next:
Competition will resume for Princeton tomorrow on day two of the UVA Challenge and another squad of Tigers will be traveling to the Rutgers Relays hosted in Piscataway to compete.
