Rao, Women's Golf Team Stand Second After One Round at Ivy League Championships

Rookie Catherine Rao and the Princeton women's golf team stand second on the individual and team leaderboards after Friday's first round at the Ivy League Championships at Century Country Club in Purchase, N.Y.
At +9, the Tigers are just a stroke behind leader Penn, and Harvard's Isabella Gomez leads the chase for medalist honors at -2, two strokes in front of even-par Rao and Penn's Susan Xiao. Rao and Caris Kim each had three birdies on the day for Princeton, with Kim making one of those birdies on the par-three fourth hole.Â
Saturday's second round will get underway at 11 a.m. with Princeton beginning to tee off at 11:50 a.m.Â
