Daria Frayman Named Player Of The Year, Three From Women’s Tennis Named All-Ivy

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced its postseason awards for women's tennis Thursday afternoon senior Daria Frayman of the Princeton University women's tennis team was named unanimous Player of the Year, and collected All-Ivy honors along with Neha Velaga and Grace Joyce.
Frayman, ranked No. 7 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) singles rankings, was also named unanimous First Team All-Ivy League along with Academic All-Ivy League, Neha Velaga, the 2022 Ivy League Rookie of the Year, was also named First Team All-Ivy League in singles. In doubles, Frayman and Grace Joyce, who are ranked No. 26 by the ITA, garnered First Team All-Ivy League honors.
Playing all seven matches at the No. 1 position, Frayman went 6-0 in Ivy play. Velaga played all seven of her Ivy matches at No. 2, and also had a 6-0 record.
Frayman and Grace had a 3-0 record in Ivy matches, playing at No. 1.
An NCAA Championships singles participant in 2022, Frayman is now a two-time First Team All-Ivy honoree along with being the 2023 Player of the Year. Velaga is also a two-time First Team All-Ivy honoree in singles, and Joyce earned Second Team All-Ivy honors for the second time in her career.
Ranked No. 49 in the ITA team rankings, the Tigers compiled a perfect 7-0 record in conference play to win the program's fourth-straight and 17th total Ivy League title.
