Women's Track and Field lands at No. 1 in Mid-Atlantic Regional Rankings by USTFCCA

Week 8 USTFCCA Regional TFRI Rankings
Princeton, N.J. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its' eighth edition of the NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index, with the Princeton Women's Track and Field Team ranked at No. 1 in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
The Tigers earn the top spot over several, talented Division I programs in the region including Penn State and Rutgers.
Following a number of stellar performances from the Princeton women at this years' Outdoor Ivy Heps championships, the Tigers have six top-50 marks in the nation, including Kate Joyce (52.14 m) and Shea Greene (50.55 m) ranking 24th and 32nd in the javelin throw, Alexandra Kelly (13.23m) and Tia Rozario (12.92m) ranking 30th and 47th in the Triple Jump, Arianna Smith ranking 45th in the 400m Hurdles (57.84) and Siniru Iheoma ranking 47th in the Discus Throw.
The Tigers receive their No. 1 Regional ranking just in time for the NCAA Regional Qualifiers to be announced later on this week. This years' NCAA Regionals will take place from May 24th - May 27th in Jacksonville, Florida. The Tigers hope to send a fully prepared squad to represent Princeton among a talented, collegiate pool.
