With a second straight Ivy League championship to cap their Princeton careers, the senior trio of Serena Starks, Alexis Laudenslager and Adrienne Chang have earned NFCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors, the coaches association has announced.
Starks earned first-team all-region while Laudenslager and Chang were third-teamers.
Starks, an outfielder, was the Ivy League Player of the Year, leading the Ivy League with a .397 batting average, 69 hits and 39 runs scored. Starks' 69 hits were the most for any Princetonian since 1996.Â
Laudenslager, the Ivy Pitcher of the Year for the second straight season, rolled up 179 strikeouts on the season to finish with 352 for her career, both standing as the program's highest totals since 2008. Laudenslager led the Ivy with the K total as well as in wins, with 17, and ERA, at 2.13.
Chang, a utility player/catcher who often filled the Tigers' designated player slot, had 28 RBI to co-lead the team and hit .303 on the season with 43 hits, putting her RBI and hit total in the top five in the Ivy.
