Men’s Tennis Summer Update

PRINCETON, N.J. – Current members and alumni of the Princeton University men's tennis team have been busy accumulating impressive wins on the Futures circuit through the summer.
7/31/23
UTR PTT $25K Ann Arbor
Sebastian Sec won the entire event after earning wins over players from Georgia Tech, Northwestern, Michigan State and Cornell before overcoming Jacob Bickersteth of Michigan in the final, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2.
Incoming freshman Evan Wen placed fifth, defeating players from Northwestern, Drexel and Texas.
Salinas $75K Challenger
After qualifying then triumphing over three players ranked inside the ATP top-300, Matija Pecotic '13 advanced to the final of the Salinas $75K Challenger in Ecuador. In the final he fell 6-4, 6-4 to Ilvya Marchenko.
UTR PTT $25K San Diego
Ryan Seggerman '22 won in the finals against Isaiah Strode 6-7, 6-3, 6-2 after earning wins against players from UC Santa Barbara, Arkansas and Yale.

Ellis Short and Will Peters '23 are both playing in the UTR PTT $25K Boca Raton.
6/20/23
Rising sophomore Sebastian Sec advanced through qualifying and won his first round match of the main draw at the M25 in Poprad Slovakia, 6-4, 6-4, over Paul Duda.
Incoming freshman Paul Inchauspe took down the world No. 669 Nikolay Vylegzhanin in the first round of the M25 in Montauban. France.
In addition, Justin Barki '22 advanced to the singles final of the M15 in Jakarta, Indonesia, before falling to the world No. 301 Omar Jasika.
