No. 6 Men's Water Polo Picks Up Two NWPC Wins

PRINCETON – The No. 6 Princeton Men's Water Polo Team collected two Northeast Water Polo Conference victories on Saturday at DeNunzio Pool.
No. 6 Princeton 17, Harvard 11
After the Crimson took a 2-1 lead, the Tigers ripped off five straight goals and eventually took a 6-3 lead after eight minutes of action.
George Caras scored two of his three tallies of the game in the second frame as Princeton held a 10-6 lead at halftime.
Harvard registered the first two goals of the second half to close within two, 10-8, but Princeton went on a 5-0 sprint highlighted by Caras' hat trick tally to put the contest away.
Princeton started the contest with seven different goal scorers and finished with 10 in the game.
Goals: Caras 3, McCarroll 2, LeSieur 2, Pozaric 2, Killion 2, Ohl 2, Quinones, Swart, Maloney, Rotenberg.
No. 6 Princeton 14, MIT 7
The Tigers held the Engineers scoreless for the first nine minutes of game action and raced off with three of the first goals.
MIT closed the gap to one, 3-2, before Princeton used four consecutive tallies to hold a 7-2 at the break.
The Engineers made one more push, forcing a Tigers' timeout after cutting the deficit to three, 8-5, with 5:05 to go in the third quarter.
The home team answered with five straight tallies and MIT never threatened.
Princeton finishes the weekend vs. No. 18 Brown Sunday at 12 p.m.
