Fillier Earns ECAC Hockey, National Monthly Honors

Princeton senior Sarah Fillier scored seven goals and added two assists across four games last month, and the nine-point run, in which Princeton went 2-1-1, has netted Fillier the honor as both the ECAC Hockey Forward of the Month and the Hockey Commissioners Association National Player of the Month for December.Â
Fillier had a hat trick against LIU in which she had a short-handed goal, a power-play goal and an even-strength goal and followed that with a two-goal, three-point game against No. 7 Quinnipiac four days later to earn recognition as the ECAC Hockey Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels. Fillier started the month with a two-goal game in a win over Union.
On the season, Fillier has a team-high 14 goals and stands second on the team with 19 points.Â
Fillier and the Tigers will take on Providence for a pair of games in the Friendship Series in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Friday and Saturday.
